PERSONAL

*Thank you, our family wanted to thank you for the lovely meal you provided after Nancy Cox’s memorial service.  She loved the time and service she shared with you.  In God’s Love,

Thank you Joan Lucas.

*Dear Anonymous, as always, thank you for your gifts.  I am grateful not only for your monetary help, but also for the fact that you are thinking of me.  It’s very encouraging to say the least, to think and know someone is concerned for you.  Psalm 92 says “It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord and to sing praises unto they name O most High”.  As it is right to sing and give thanks to Him so it is to do the same unto you.  Though I do not see Him I know Him by those who love Him.  In Him, Isiah Shannon

*Thank you to Arlene Ehlers for delivering the beautiful alter flowers.  So sorry with the COVID we were unable to visit. How wonderful to belong to a church where so many married couples are living God's model of marriage. We celebrate you all.

*Love Thy Neighbor signs: When you drive around town do you get a "warm fuzzy" seeing the wonderful red LOVE THY NEIGHBOR signs?  I know we do and look for them now when we go out.  What a wonderful idea let’s keep it going!!

PELOTONIA:  ALL PATHS LEAD TO ONE GOAL - END CANCER

Now more than ever the need for cancer research funding is vital.  10,000 more cancer deaths are predicted because of COVID-19, due to delayed cancer screenings, treatments and halted research. Over the last three years Troy FUMC members have made a BIG IMPACT towards ending cancer with more than $8,000 donated to the Pelotonia campaign. Now it is up to us as a community to continue to fund ground-breaking research in order to not slow progress.

Pelotonia 2020 will be different!  Due to the pandemic there will be no large group bicycle ride in Columbus. Instead each participant is asked to define their own personal activity and fundraising goal. Each member of Team Schilling (Jenny, Jeff and Sarah) has created their own set of goals with the hopes of being able to join together for a long bike ride on Saturday, August 4th.  Pelotonia has always been more than a bike ride.  It’s about conquering a personal challenge and coming together to raise critical funds for cancer research.

100% of every dollar raised by Pelotonia Riders and Volunteers goes directly to fund cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center–Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute. Every dollar you donate is invested in the brightest minds and ideas, and the tools and technology needed to change the future of cancer care. In just twelve years, the Pelotonia community has raised more than $209 million and has saved many lives through prevention, early detection and the treatment of cancer.

. Cancer has attacked far too many people we love including a mother, our fathers, our sisters, a brother, an aunt, an uncle, a niece, a nephew, and even one of us (Jeff).  It continues to attack co-workers, neighbors, friends and our FUMC family giving no thought to age, sex, or status.

YOU can continue to make a difference!  Every dollar matters! No contribution is too small and 100% goes directly to cancer research.  Make your tax deductible donation:
