God's Treasures (Tesoros de Dios)
God's Treasures reaches out to handicapped children and their families in the poverty stricken outskirts of Nicaragua’s capital. God's Treasures is located in Bradley's House of Hope where Physical therapy, patterning and equestrian therapy are combined with tender loving care to give the poorest of poor HOPE for the day. This ministry is fully funded by the donations of people in local churches and other organizations.
Sponsorships are available to help support the children and their families. Project Chacocente
Project Chacocente is a ministry that reaches out to and supports families as
they relocate out of Nicaragua’s city dump to a countryside community , where
new beginnings can be realized. Families learn community living and life skills to
support their families, while their children attend on onsite school. Sponsorships
are available to help support these families as they restart their lives in a new
setting -
First Place Food Pantry
Hours of Operation
Monday: 1-3 pm and 5-6:30 pm
Wednesday: 1-3 pm
2nd Wednesday of each month time is 3-5 pm
Friday: 1-3 pm
First Place Food Pantry provides a "Choice Pantry" for those in need in the Troy and Casstown zip codes. A wide variety of food, fresh produce and personal care items are available.
Volunteer opportunities include: Unloading trucks or van, stocking shelves, prepping items, family assistance with sign up, shopping guides and board of trustees/working committees (grant writing , fundraising etc.)

Short-Term Mission Trips
The FUMC leads various short-term mission trips locally, nationally, and
internationally. Recent missions trips have reached out to the disadvantaged of Red Bird in Beverly, Kentucky. Local missions have involved the remodeling of Richards Chapel parsonage and participating at the First Place Food Pantry. Mission teams have traveled to Nicaragua to help with Bradley’s House of Hope and Project Chacocente. Annual trips have also been made to Costa Rico centered on eliminating Human Trafficking. -
Kyle Elementary
We support our neighborhood school, Kyle Elementary, in many ways. We
provide volunteers to serve as lunch buddy’s, provide tutoring in math and
reading, and assist with the Christmas Gala. As church members we also help
provide school supplies, clothing and shoes, and assist in paying school fees. -
FISH
FISH responds one on one to persons from Troy, Casstown, and Pleasant Hill
who are calling for help with rent, utilities, gasoline, prescriptions, and individual
emergency situations. FISH is a totally volunteer lead program. Volunteers serve
on day a month or less fielding calls from people in need.

Ronald McDonald House
Ronald McDonald House
Located in Dayton near Children’s Medical Center, the Ronald McDonald House
provides meals and housing for the families of children who are hospitalized for
extended periods. The FUMC congregation collects pop-top tabs to donate to the
Ronald McDonald House.
