Jeff, PJ to his friends, was born in Lexington, Ohio and moved to Columbus where he met and married Bobbi, a native of Columbus. In 1997, twins Zach and Josh were born. They have lived in Columbus, Marysville and Pickerington, Ohio, where Jeff worked in human resources and Bobbi was a pre-school teacher’s assistant. The Haverfield’s found a church home at Peace UMC in Pickerington where Jeff felt a new calling in his life. It was not until the summer of 2004 when they followed the call from God and left Pickerington to move to Wilmore, Kentucky so Jeff could attend Seminary at Asbury Theological Seminary. In August of 2005, they were appointed to Carthage UMC in California, Ky. After graduating from Asbury, Jeff was appointed at FUMC in June 2008. Bobbi is working with special needs students at Tipp City Middle School. Josh and Zach enjoy karate, basketball, and football. Even while in Kentucky, their hearts have remained faithful Buckeye fans, even naming their dog “Buckeye!”
