Music and Drama Ministries
First Light presents drama productions in the Sanctuary and at First Place. Dramas include "The Twelve Seats at the Table" and "At His Feet - The Women at the Foot of the Cross." Other productions have been "The Snowflake Follies" and "Parables at the Heart of Bethlehem" as well as worship pieces during Advent and Easter. We look forward to our readers theater production of "Treasures in the Trunk" in November, 2010 as part of the church's 200th anniversary celebration. No acting experience needed, just a desire to serve by bringing the words on the page to life on the stage.
Chancel Choir
If your heart longs to sing praises to the Lord, you would be a welcome addition to the Troy FUMC choir. You do not have to be a star singer or performer, just desire to give of your time and talents to serve the Lord. The choir performs during the 10:45 am services each Sunday and additional services during holidays. They practice on Thursdays from 7:30-9:00 pm.

The contemporary praise band leads worship weekly at the 10:35 a.m. Contemporary Sunday service. The band includes vocalists, instrumentalists, as well as audio technicians, and leads the congregation in a variety of more contemporary worship. The band welcomes those who wish to use their gifts in worship ministry.

LightReaders is a year-round Christian music and drama troupe, specializing in outreach to congregations of all denominations. We feature four-part, mixed voice harmony, and offer both contemporary and traditional music.
