First United Methodist Church (FUMC) exists to “know Christ, grow in faith, and serve others.” FUMC was founded in 1812. Since that time, the congregation has sought to spread the love of Christ to the community of Troy and around the world. Through Bible studies, worship services, and church events the congregation seeks to grow in their knowledge of God and be the Body of Christ. In reaching out to others through various ministries, FUMC desires to spread the love of Jesus. Our food pantry and other local ministries serve the Troy community and our work in Nicaragua and Kazakhstan minister to people on the other side of the globe.
